More than knowing your type

You can know your Enneagram type, recognise your triggers and understand where some of your patterns came from—and still watch yourself repeat them under pressure.
Self-awareness matters. But the ways we have learned to protect ourselves, try to belong or avoid discomfort rarely disappear simply because we have understood them.
True Colours began in February 2025 as an invitation to explore ourselves more honestly through the Enneagram. Since then, it has grown into a small, ongoing community where we learn, reflect and talk about what happens when personal-development theory meets actual life.
It is a place where Enneagram insight becomes everyday practice.

For many LGBTQ+ people, patterns of hiding, adapting, anticipating rejection or questioning their own belonging did not develop in a vacuum. True Colours offers an affirming space where these experiences can be explored without having to defend or minimise them—and without making them the whole story of who you are.

The Enneagram helps us see what has become automatic. Guided reflection helps us notice it in everyday life. Community helps us explore what we might miss on our own and keep returning to the work with honesty, curiosity and compassion.

You do not need to arrive certain of your type or your life impressively sorted. Curiosity and a willingness to notice are enough to begin.

Understand. Practise. Belong.

True Colours brings insight, everyday practice and community together.

Your Monthly True Colours Rhythm

Each month follows a simple rhythm: we explore a theme together, notice how it shows up in everyday life and return to reflect on what we have discovered.

Click or tap each card to explore.

Monthly Discovery Session

A live teaching session exploring a developmental theme through the Enneagram, guided reflection and practical application.
Discovery Sessions are recorded and added to the True Colours Hub, so members can catch up or revisit the material.

The True Colours Hub

Between gatherings, use the session recording, lesson material, reflection activities, podcasts and selected resources to notice how the theme is showing up in your everyday life.

Monthly Fireside Chat

A live, facilitated conversation where we share what we have noticed, ask questions and learn from one another’s experiences.
Fireside Chats are not recorded, allowing members to speak more freely while protecting the personal nature of the conversation.
Discovery Sessions take place on the second Thursday of each month, with Fireside Chats on the fourth Thursday.
Both gatherings are online from 8:00–9:00 PM SAST.

You might feel at home here if…

> You want more than an Enneagram label and a list of your strengths.
> You are curious about the patterns that make perfect sense from the inside—and occasionally confuse everyone else.
> You are looking for an ongoing place to learn, practise and reflect, rather than a once-off workshop or another library of resources to work through alone.
> You would value a space where LGBTQ+ identity is affirmed without having to be the only thing you talk about.
> You are interested in where psychology, relationships, spirituality and ordinary life meet.
> You would rather do this work alongside real people than add another podcast to a queue that already has ambitions of its own.
No previous Enneagram knowledge is needed. Openness, curiosity and a willingness to engage honestly are enough.

Meet Celesté

Hi, I’m Celesté Meyburgh - a Psychometrist, Registered Counsellor, Enneagram Practitioner and a life-long people-watcher. Not creepy, just curious.

In my work with Enneagram clients and groups, I kept being reminded that insight is most useful when we have opportunities to practise it in real relationships and everyday life. Understanding our patterns is one thing; noticing them when we feel hurt, threatened, misunderstood or deeply committed to being right is quite another.

Through my work and the people I have come to know and care about, I have also become increasingly aware of how much it matters to have spaces where LGBTQ+ people are not merely welcomed, but genuinely affirmed—and where personal or spiritual growth does not require anyone to edit, explain or defend who they are.

I created True Colours to bring these two convictions together: an ongoing, LGBTQ+ affirming community where the Enneagram becomes more than interesting information about ourselves. It is a space where we can notice our patterns in real life, talk honestly about what they cost us and practise responding differently in the company of others.

As a straight ally, I don’t share the lived experience of LGBTQ+ people, and I don’t pretend to. My role is not to speak on behalf of the community, but to listen, keep learning and facilitate a space where identity, faith, relationships and belonging can be explored with care, curiosity and respect.

Beyond True Colours, I facilitate leadership programmes, retreats and other spaces for personal and relational growth. I’m also a wife, mother, and friend, with enduring interest in meaningful conversation, how people grow and the small, hopeful contributions we can make towards a kinder and more colourful world.

True Colours brings together many of the things I love most: people, depth, spiritual curiosity, honest conversation—and those unexpectedly illuminating moments when someone pauses and says, “Oh. I do that, don’t I?”

Join True Colours in August

A new True Colours journey begins on Thursday, 13 August 2026.

August offers a shared starting point. Whether you are new to the Enneagram or have been working with it for years, you can begin this next cycle alongside the community and explore each theme together.

This developmental journey will unfold over approximately 18 months, giving us time to move beyond simply knowing our types and practise bringing that insight into our relationships, choices and everyday lives.

We meet online from 8:00–9:00 PM SAST on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month.

August gatherings:

Thursday, 13 August - Discovery Session: teaching, guided reflection and practical application.

Thursday, 27 August - Fireside Chat: facilitated conversation, shared reflection and integration.

A Few Things You May Be Wondering

True Colours is an LGBTQ+ affirming online developmental community where we use the Enneagram, reflective practice and honest conversation to support greater self-awareness, meaningful connection and lived change.
The Enneagram is a developmental framework that explores nine different ways of seeing, interpreting and responding to the world.
Rather than focusing only on outward behaviour, it helps us understand the motivations, fears and protective patterns beneath what we do. The aim is not to place you in a box, but to help you recognise the box you may already be living in — and where greater awareness and choice might become possible.
That is completely fine. You do not need previous Enneagram knowledge or a confirmed type before joining.
The journey includes foundational teaching, and introductory resources are available in the True Colours Hub.
Members who would like a more personalised starting point may also book an iEQ9 assessment and individual feedback session with Celesté at a preferential rate.
Yes. True Colours is created primarily as an affirming developmental space for LGBTQ+ people, with family members, friends and allies warmly welcomed.
Allies are invited to participate with openness, respect and a willingness to examine their own patterns and assumptions.
We meet online from 8:00–9:00 PM SAST on the second and fourth Thursday of every month.
The second Thursday is our Discovery Session, focused on teaching, reflection and practice.
The fourth Thursday is our Fireside Chat, focused on facilitated discussion and integration.
During December, the dates may be adjusted so that both gatherings take place before 16 December.
Membership includes:
  • one live Discovery Session each month;
  • one live Fireside Chat each month;
  • access to recordings of Discovery Sessions;
  • lesson material and reflection activities;
  • selected podcasts, videos and supporting resources in the True Colours Hub.
Fireside Chats are not recorded, allowing members to speak more freely.
The monthly Discovery Sessions are recorded and made available in the True Colours Hub, together with the lesson material and supporting resources.
You will have access to these recordings for as long as your membership remains active.
Fireside Chats are not recorded. These gatherings are designed for more personal reflection, discussion and sharing, and keeping them off the record allows members to speak more freely.
You can still engage with the monthly theme through the Discovery Session recording and resources when you cannot attend the Fireside Chat, although joining live whenever possible will help you receive the full benefit of the community experience.
No. You are invited to participate, but you remain in charge of what you choose to share.
Listening, reflecting and taking time to become comfortable are also valid ways of participating.
Members are asked to respect the confidentiality of what others share during Fireside Chats.
No. True Colours is an educational and developmental community, not group therapy.
The sessions may support meaningful personal insight, but they do not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions and are not a substitute for individual therapeutic care.
The current developmental cycle unfolds over approximately 18 months, with each stage building on and deepening the work that came before.
True Colours is, however, an ongoing membership rather than a fixed course. New members may join during the journey and access previous Discovery Sessions and resources through the True Colours Hub.
Yes. Although 13 August marks the beginning of the new developmental cycle, new members are welcome to join later.
You will receive access to previous Discovery Sessions, lesson material and supporting resources in the True Colours Hub. You do not need to complete everything before attending the current live sessions.

You will have access to the True Colours Hub, including recordings and lesson resources, for as long as your membership remains active.
